On a Roll...... :)

OMG I am certainly on a roll this week.  It's either a feast or a famine! LOL :)
Hello.........
Thought I would share yet another one of many posts with you.
Ok so here's another Chrissy present I made, this one was for my daughter's Primary School  Year 7 Teacher (Male).
I made this concertina box, which I got my inspiration from a Docrafts Creativity magazine
The first picture is of the top of the box, and I have used "Wellington Bear" papers and stamp to decorate and chipboard letters from my stash and coloured them in with my black promarker, (also used on the image) spritzed it with my homemade spritz and glossy accents over the top.  Inked around the edges of the lid. Also used the papers to cover the bottom of the box and inked around all the edges.
The second picture is of the inside of the box, with the concertina book inside.
Here's the concertina book that I made using bazzil cardstock from my stash, white background and then layered with dark brown. I used the "Wellington Bears" cutouts from the paper pack, I have also added some "teacher sayings/jokes", which I found on the internet to each page.
I used some black ribbon from my stash to make a pull tab, and laid the concertina inside the box, which I then filled up with chocolates and Christmas candy sticks and put in a cellophane bag and tied together with some ribbon, also from my stash.
I think the teacher liked it...
I hope you like it too....
Thanks for looking.  Bye for now, Jo :) x

More Chrismas Presents :)

Hi there,

Just a small note with photos to follow of the rest of the decorated Christmas presents.

This one I made, for my Sister, Michelle along with a matching calendar (below)

This one I made for my other Sister, Debby, with a matching address book.

This is for my niece, Shenae, along with a matching address book.

This one is for my Sister-in-Law, along with a matching calendar.

This is for my Mother-in-Law with a different type of matching calendar.

Then I found these brown paper bags in Red Dot, and thought they would be good to decorate for each person to pop their pressies in.  So here they are.

And a close up of them.

Well I hope you like my Christmas gift presents I made for my family. Time to sign off now, and will hopefully not be so long for my next post.  Take care & bye for now :) x

Hello again! :)

Hi there everyone :)
Well I have another post to go - woo hoo......
This is still Christmas stuff, but it is stuff I have decorated for family members for Chrissy presents.
I bought some Jotter Pads from Spotlight for $3 each and then went back the next week and they were marked down to $1 each, so I purchased some more, and also got some address books for $1 each, which I also decorated.

This is the Jotter I decorated for my Mum, covered it with paper from my stash, Made the flowers using the Tim Holtz tattered florals die and used a wooden flourish and coloured it in with my promarkers and used glossy accents on top.  I also added coloured ribbons through the binders.  Here's a close up photo of the flowers.

I made a calendar to match.  I made similar flowers to add on, just a little smaller and added some leaves from my stash, coloured in the Tilda with my promarkers and added a laminated sheet to add any notes.

Well I hope you like my Christmas present for my Mum, I will add more photos, which are the same sort of Christmas present for different family members done in different colours.

I will sign off on this post now, as if I add all the photos on here, it will be a long posting.
Bye for now :) x

Oh my Gosh how time flies....

Well hello there :) I can't believe how long it's been since my last post.  I guess I don't even know where to start with or what to post first!
Ok well first I will start with some of the Christmas things I made.  The first photo is of my homemade Christmas crackers, which I made with a template I found on the internet.  Then covered them in purple Christmas paper, I also bought the cracker sticks off eBay and filled them with jokes I found on the internet and some Christmas chocolates.

The next photo is of Christmas hats I made, which I was going to put inside the crackers, but found them a little too hard to fold up, so I just left them out and had them on the table on the day.  I used a template I found on the internet and cut them out and added the "Merry Christmas" around them.

And last, but not least the next photos are of some Christmas goodie bags I decorated, (bought some little gift bags from a craft shop) and I was inspired from something I found on the internet, which gave me the idea.  I Have put my own touch to them and made them gift bags and filled them with chocolates (lots of chocolates for Christmas! Yum yum)   As you can see, I made some reindeer ones and some Santa ones.  Using some craft punches, some cricut cartridges for all the different shapes added & embossing folder.  These were a hit with the family and my Mum loved them so much she asked if I could make some for her friends at the hospital (where she goes to do dialysis 3 times a week).
Ok that seems to be all for Christmas craft, and I won't bore you all with the rest of my craft stuff today, otherwise it would take up my whole blog page and go on forever, so I will say bye for now, but watch this space - there is plenty more to come.
Thanks for looking & take care,
Until next time :) x

Birthday Card for my sister

Hello.....
This is a card I made for my sister's birthday.
I have used a cute little stamp from my collection, coloured it in using my promarkers. (Just love these alcohol markers to colour in, thanks to my friend, Maree for introducing me to them), cut him out and stuck him to acetate.
I have cut out the card using a spellbinders label in my cuttlebug to make the shape in the middle, added my image on the acetate, covered the card with some paper from my stash and added some leaves and flowers and the little sentiment sticker on the bottom.

As I love to add my own sentiments on the card I type up on my computer, and then add my own wording, I needed the space to put this, so I have added another layer in the middle as in the photo shown on the right of the inside, stamped the front of it, so that it will show through the acetate, using a flourish stamp from my collection and Distress ink Dusty concord ( I also love these inks, as there are so many ways to use them).
And there is my card.

Hope you like my little card.... :)
And come back soon.  Have a great day everyone :) x

A couple of quick cards!

Hello,
Wow 2 posts in 1 day - how good am I??? Lol
I have a couple of quick cards that I made.

The first one "Tools" I made for my father-in-law's birthday.
I have used some red foil card as the background and embossed it with a "tool" embossing folder I have.  I stamped out the "Stampin Up - Totally Tools" stamp set, coloured them in using some "Gelly Roll glitter pens" to give it that little sparkle.  Added the "Happy Birthday" sentiment I cut out with my cricut on black card & used glossy acccents on top.  And there you have it my "Happy Birthday" quick card.

This card I made for my next door neighbour's little boy who turned "4".  I have used green cardstock as the base, added and yellow cardstock for the front.
The whole card has been cut on my cricut. The monkey was cut out using the "Create a Critter" cartridge, and the tree and the grass were cut out using the "My Community" cartridge.
I have cut out the number "4" using the "Pooh and Friends Font" cartridge on black cardstock and used kindy glitz on top to add the sparkle.

I think this little card is quite cute and was very easy and quick.

Hope you come back and visit my blog soon.
Have a great day! :) x

Better late than never....

Hello....
Well as promised I have added a new posting - wow I can't believe I am actually adding another one so soon....... :)
As christmas is approaching us very soon, I thought I might pop my wooden christmas tree I made from last year on my blog...
I bought this wooden christmas tree (sorry not quite sure what brand it was) from The Craft Stand (who have recently closed down, so I can't add the link).

The tree came with a range of chipboard christmas bits in the pack and I also added some of my own.
I have put the box together and covered with some christmas paper I also bought from The Craft Stand.  I painted the tree with kaisercraft white paint and added some crystal bling to make it sparkle and the little mirror star on top also came in the pack.  I painted the sleigh with red paint and used glossy accents on top and added the christmas bear (which I had) to sit in the sleigh.
The little presents I handmade myself and covered in various christmas papers I had in my stash.
The chipboard  "Merry Christmas" also came in the pack, along with the presents and the tree on the side of the box.  I have again painted them and used glossy accents on top.

Well at least I can just about get this out of my "christmas stuff" storage and use again soon..... Oops don't think I really want to know that Christmas is just around the corner and coming too soon....
Have a great day everyone, and pop in again soon, I may just have another posting, now that I am on a roll..... :) x

Another card

Hi again,
It's been a long time (LOL) Hope you are all doing fine.
Well I have another card that my sister-in-law has asked me to make. This time it's a wedding card for friends of my brother & sister-in-law. This was a little bit of a challenge and I didn't really know what I was going to do for this, considering I didn't know these people or any colours to use, so I just had to go with what I thought and my sister-in-law absolutely loved it and when she showed my brother-in-law, he couldn't believe that "lil ole me" had made it (I know - big head right now....LOL) So I know, now your all waiting for a happy snap! Here it is....
For this card I have used white bazzill, cut out the middle using spellbinders nestabilites labels, (sorry not sure what number they are) embossed the top with my flourish embossing folder, used acetate in the middle. I cut the love heart using my cricut machine, along with the flourishes, using chipboard, inked them with white staze on ink, spritzed them with homemade white spritz and glossy accents on the top, along with the pearl bling on half the love heart, made roses from Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die and white bazzill and inked the edges with distress ink, victorian velvet, and kindy glitz. I have also cut a smaller label and inked it with victorian velvet also and added the words by computer.
As pictured below, I have also made a matching box for the card to go in. I have cut the middle out of the lid of the box, so you can see the card through (thought it would be a good idea), I have used versamark to stamp and emboss the flowers on the lid (one of my stamps from my stash, not quite sure what its called - sorry), and inked it with victorian velvet and added some pearls around the edge. For the inside of the card, I added a sentiment and again uses the distress ink, victorian velvet around the edges.
Wow another posting.....2 posts in 1 night - woo hoo on a roll!
Well stay safe & take care bloggers. Jo x

Card with a difference

Hi again bloggers, (not that I have many followers, LOL would like to get more, but just not sure how???) Hope you are all doing well, all is well and busy (as usual) at my end, and I have been doing a few challenges (as usual) and also card making (challenges & personal). My sister-in-law had asked me if I could make a card for her 30th wedding anniversary - I said "ooh I could put wedding photos on it". So I did indeed make her an anniversary card, pictured. For this card I have use some grey bazzill from my stash, the wedding photo (of course), and I purchased from Scraptivate closing down sale a cuttlebug emboss plus folder which I have used on this card, I have also used silver sticker borders along the edges. I have used my cricut machine (which I absolutely love) to cut out the "Happy Anniversary" and coloured it with silver promarker (something else I absolutely love), and glossy accents over the top, have also used my cricut, promarkers, and glossy accents for the love hearts and the champagne glasses. For the inside of the card, I have used a slightly lighter grey bazzill and another wedding photo (cause I couldn't choose which one to use), inked the bazzill using distress ink "pumice stone" and a flourish stamp, used a fiskas corner shaper to cut corners of bazzill and photo and some more hearts cut from my cricut machine, used my computer to type out the words. Hope you like it..... :)

Sunday 4 March 2012

Hi there bloggers,
Hope your all doing great...
Well I have a couple of new layouts to post today, this one was challenge for Tomorrow's Memories and I had decided to use the photos from my nieces 21st birthday, where all the family were in the photo. These photos were taken in April 2011, nearly a year ago and I entered the layout last year. I have made the flowers from one of the papers supplied on the first page and also the leaves on both pages, using the Tim Holtz alterations tattered florals die. I have inked aound the edges of them, using tim holtz distress inks (which I must say are my favourite and only inks I use, besides momentum black, for my images), and have added some extra flowers, along with the flowers supplied in the pack. I didn't win this challenge, but I have a lot of fun doing them anyway.
I hope you like my page and my post. Take care and hopefully I will post another posting soon. x
